Off the dam and northwest rocky bank. About 10pm. They were chasing baitfish right off the bank.

Sorry for the delay in responding. If you're boat fishing or trying to make long casts from shore with lures, I recommend a medium action rod and reel, 6lb test, and a swivel to help prevent line twist when they spin. If you are fishing smaller ponds and creeks, I prefer a light (or ultralight) rod and reel combo with 4lb test - a light, strong braid for backing with a fluorocarbon leader. I like to use snap swivels to prevent line twist, unless the water is super clear and the fish are finicky! Favorite trout lures: in-line spinners (rooster tails of various sizes and colors) and Berkley Atomic Tubes/Teasers. I also soak all my lures in Berkley trout attractant, because it's seasoned with the same proteins they use in the pellet food at the hatcheries. If I'm trolling, I like size 5 Berkley Flicker Shads in various shiny colors. Tight lines!

Not very good, unfortunately. Really low. Muddy with lots of weeds. I caught one small bass there.

@joshlight6892 there are little inconsistencies, but the biggest one for me is when the see the bigfoot! Gimlin says that Patterson got off his horse, grabbed the camera and starts forward to get the video! Which would sound totally normal. But Patterson seems to have had a flair for dramatics! Probably becuase of trying to make a bigfoot movie for approximately a yr before all this happened, and it failed! He says that when they saw the creature his horse reared up and fell over on top of him, pinning his leg, and that's when he seen the camera in the saddle bag, so he grabbed it, got up first a hurt leg and started to run toward the creature! I a have found LOTS of evidence that suggest this is not quite as real as first believed! That's was disappointing cuz I really thought we had something here! Turns out, it's just not

@@joshlight6892 Gimlin says he was behind Patterson with the pack horse! About 6 ft! He would have seen all this and prob helped his buddy! That's what most people would do! That would be a hard detail to forget

That's Ivins big lake. I haven't caught anything out of Little Ivins this year. I saw a big koi caught in the swimming hole, though!

They appear to trigger bites especially when spinners or other jigs aren't working. Use on light line (less than 6lb test), and it helps to use a tiny snap swivel if you can. If the water is too clear, you can go without, but the snap swivel gives it a little more bounce in the water and helps prevent line twist when they start spinning. Tight lines!

Yes, I moved to Mesquite in June of 2020. All the good fishing is in Utah, though. I miss fishing the Ozark streams, but I love being able to fish year round.

@@JustinMosher Oh nice! We almost moved to Mesquite, but my wife preferred St. George. We moved here from upper-Northern Calf.(near Mt. Shasta City). I miss the abundant fisheries(creeks, rivers, lakes, ponds, etc…) of Northern Cal and Southern Oregon… unfortunately the toxic, leftist politics forced us to find refuge here in Utah. Are you still a practicing clergy…?

@@longacre1041 Yes, I'm at First Baptist Church of Mesquite. You wouldn't believe how many people here have similar stories. Seems like half the folks at church are exiles from the west coast somewhere!

No, I doubt it. Maybe some bullheads. Newcastle has catchable channel catfish, now, though!

Fished lower by the dam Memorial Day, wow, nice rainbows very colorful, , living near their took for granted, how close I live near this gem, will be fishing this year round

Yeah, I'm itching to hit Newcastle for wipers, but I haven't heard good things about the smallmouth there. I know they're IN there, but where... ?

@@JustinMosher hoping after this week of warm weather, they will be moving up. Water temp was 55 last Saturday.

@@MikeGreenOutdoorsit’s getting concerning, the water temps at enterprise are comparable I went to enterprise yesterday and killed it drop shottting stupid tube and ned rigs. Went to new castle the next day and skunked. I wonder what’s going on. Maybe the wiper have just started to effect the spawn?
